20th Avenue (CSAY 54) Corridor Study

Study Area

What is the CSAH 54 Corridor Study?

Anoka County, in partnership with the cities of Centerville and Lino Lakes, are studying the CSAH 54 Corridor between 73rd street/21st Avenue and Birch Street (CSAH 34), as well as Main Street (CSAH 14) and 21st Avenue intersection. Recent development prompted the need to further evaluate the corridor with a focus on access, safety, and operations.

Goals of the study are:

- Identify existing and future issues/needs

-Develop and evaluate potential issues and needs

- Recommend short- and long-term improvements.

The first of several community engagement meetings was held on Tuesday, August 29, at Centerville City Hall.  Over 50 local residents and business owners, took the opportunity to give the design team their perspective on the issues being examined by the study, including business access, safety, traffic flow, bike and pedestrian facilities, and aesthetics.

There’s still plenty of time to give your input, if you were not able to attend the meeting.  Please click on the link to the right to visit the project website .
