Parks and Recreation

Centerville is fortunate to have some of the most beautiful Minnesota scenery in its own back yard. Our goal is to preserve the natural environment and offer safe ways to enjoy the outdoors all year long. A combination of city and county efforts help us achieve these goals.

Plan & Parks Committee

The City of Centerville has a Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Plan and a Parks and Recreation Committee to guide existing and future park land development and trails. Currently Centerville has seven developed city parks.

Fishing

Centerville/Lino Lakes also offers a Fishing Pier on Peltier Lake just east of the entrance to the Anoka County Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park on Main Street (CSAH14). Please refrain from fishing on private property or where signage is posted.

Centerville Park Programs

Budgets are spiraling downward, while participation in park activities has increased. In this challenging budgetary environment, with strong community support and through generous donations, sponsorships and volunteers, Centerville's Parks and Recreation Committee has continued to improve park facilities and activities.

Park Programs are managed by Centerville's all volunteer Parks and Recreation Committee. There are volunteer opportunities for individuals or organizations that desire to see Centerville thrive by providing park amenities and programs alike. Come and join the Committee or perhaps your organization would like to take ownership of a community project.

Community Projects

Over the past years, the City has benefited from three Eagle Scout projects. These projects have installed wood duck houses, planted trees and installed the new city flag pole and the veterans memorial at Corner Stone Park. Perhaps a garden club, master gardener, church group, Boy or Girl Scout troop could adopt a park and keep it clean and weeded.
